Since Windows 7 RC download official available from Microsoft, below is the Windows 7 system requirement that requires to run Windows 7 operating system.

System Requirement for Windows 7 RC :

1. Internet access (to download Windows 7 RC and get updates)

2. 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

3. 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

4. 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)

5. DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

According to ZDNet, however, “If you are planning to run Windows XP Mode along with Windows 7, Microsoft is recommending a PC with a minimum of 2GB of memory and 15 GB of additional disk space.” Microsoft stated, “In addition, Windows Virtual PC requires a PC with Intel-VT or AMD-V enabled in the CPU, as it takes advantage of the latest advancements in hardware virtualization.”
