New Windows 7 taskbar has been introduce over Windows 7 pre beta showcast on PDC 2008.
After view the Windows 7 taskbar screenshot, I noticed that Windows 7 taskbar UI is totally different looks from Vista taskbar and more stylish looking taskbar. Meanwhile, when you hovers mouse over one of the tittles you will see the live preview of the application, the icon size is relatively larger than the traditional sized items on the windows vista sidebar.
But now, IntoWindows has posted a nice tutorial how to transform Vista Taskbar to Windows 7 Taskbar, Just follow below step then you can get a windows 7 taskbar style over your Windows Vista.
How to transform Vista Taskbar to Windows 7 Taskbar:
1. Firstly download and install EnhanceMyVista, and run it
2. Click on the Customizations Tab and then click TaskBar option and check the box which says Iconize your taskbar
3. Now, select Save and Close form the top menu of the program, and Restart your computer
4. Right click on the taskbar, and unclick Lock Taskbar and right click on the empty area in quick launch and select View >> Large Icons
5. Download Aero VG theme from here and install it using FREE VistaGlazz utility, download VistaGlazz utility from here.
Note: After installing VistaGlazz utility you can copy the downloaded vista themes into C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and then right click on the desktop select “Personalize” and then, “Themes” to apply new themes.
6. After you are done with all these tweaks you will see the new look with a different looking vista taskbar which almost look like the windows 7 taskbar as shown below.

I would’ve liked to see something with not only the looks of windows 7 but with the features of windows 7. I’ve already downloaded something to emulate the aero snap feature , but this is just plain and simply a quick fix to make the task bar only look as though you’re using windows 7 not make you feel as though you’re truly using the new OS from windows. Still it is a good theme and I will be using it, thank you for this article it was well written and informative.
