Believe me, this service is actually very helpful if you are running a local area network (LAN), and is mainly used in IT companies. So, if you are willing to gather some information on this please follow the steps below.

1. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Remote Desktop Connection

2. Enter the Computer Name or IP address of the computer you wish to connect to.

3. For more connection options, click on Options

Time has come when most of us spend our time browsing the Internet. Now, while browsing the Internet each one us look for a faster connection speed, may it be the Broadband or the 3G. However, have you ever consider the fact that getting a faster Internet connection doesn’t get the job done. You need to have a faster Computer as well to even if your working online. So, if you have a notion of having a faster Internet connection, then I suppose you need have a fast system as well. So, let’s check out how you can get one.

How to boost your Computer Speed

Upgrade Your System Hardware

If you feel that there is some issues with the processing speed of your computer, perhaps you should look out at your processors speed, I mean the market has been flooded with lots of new processors like Intel Core i3, i5 and i7. So, if you are running the outdated processor, eventually you need to get it replaced. Meanwhile, you should also check out the RAM storage of your PC. If you are confident enough to do it at your own, then you can surely carry out the job, however if you are not confident enough may be you should check out the nearest computer shop/centre in your area and ask them to help you check and upgrade your computer system.

Upgrade Your System Memory

Whether you are aware of this fact or not but your computer memory is one of the important element that will determine how fast your computer will be. If you are still stuck with the 256MB RAM and want your computer to perform fast, probably its no different than watching a nightmare. So, what we are trying to imply here is that your computer’s speed more less revolves around the memory content. In fact, it has to be in synchronization with your processor your computer Pentium and the hard drive. For instance, if you are using a 256MB RAM with a 260GB hard drive on with a Pentium 4 processor, then I must say that your computer is in highly dangerous zone and sooner or later it will reveal up some problem as long as you’re using it.

Let me help you to check your current system configuration (i.e Ram, hard disk space, Pentium and Operating System Version). Just right click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop and select the “Properties” tab then.

Check Your System for Viruses

Probably this is the most important thing that you should take into consideration before going for any other option. It has been widely observed that our system shows a great downfall in the performance if it has been virus affected. In fact, there are a list of viruses which can really take a lot from your system.

Here is the most worst computer viruses list:

_exp1orer.exe

_noteped.exe

111.exe

13wcxx91.cmd

8ot8y86.exe

adober.exe

amvo.exe

autorun.*

avpo*.*

awkeygen.exe

bar311.exe

blastcln.exe

blastclnnn.exe

boot.exe

ccprxy.exe

copy.exe

crss.exe

ctfmon.exe

mdm.exe

desktop.exe

dismgnt.exe

If you ever feel that your computer is hanging or freezing abnormally, the first thing that you should consider is the virus attack. I mean the time has come when you should execute your anti-virus. Virus not only slows down your system, but also consumes the system resource as well. So, make sure that, you are running a decent version of anti-virus.

Cleaning Up Your Desktop

If your Desktop is flooding with the icons, probably you should run a check on it. If the number of applications installed in your system is too high, then probably you are running out of your RAM storage. Every time you install a new application and add the shortcut icon on the Desktop, you are killing your RAM. So, to get rid of this problem keep a habit of uninstalling unused application from your computer. Just go to Control Panel- Uninstall programs and select the desired program from there. Or you can use the software like Calendar or Tune-up-Utilities to do so.

According to windows team blog, Windows 7 has sold over 300 million licenses to-date. They have also reported that company see’s a fantastic momentum and excitement for Windows 7.

CES earlier this month was also very exciting for us where we also talked a bit about Windows 7 momentum and showcased a lot of work our partners are doing. We also continue to see strong momentum with business customers with nearly 90% of enterprise businesses already making the move to Windows 7.

In addition they have also stated,

“Business demand for our productivity and infrastructure products and cloud solutions is strong. Office had a huge quarter, exceeding everyone’s expectations, and our roadmap for cloud productivity with Office 365 makes products like SharePoint, Exchange, Lync and Dynamics CRM even more attractive to our customers,” added Kevin Turner, chief operating officer at Microsoft.

“Windows 7 continues to be the fastest-growing operating system in history, and our recent System on a Chip announcement demonstrates our commitment that Windows will have the power and flexibility to run everywhere and on every device.”

Handling PC is no big deal these days; in fact anyone who knows how to switch-off and switch-on the CPU can operate PC, but let me tell you something, that this sounds good only if you are a starter. In fact, there are certain points left, which won’t be easy for you to trace without any proper support.

Let’s consider an instance, wherein you are trying to add a new sound driver to your device, but due to some compatibility reason you are not able to. In other, words you are trying to overwrite the previous driver, which generally turns out to be default, but sometimes not. Under such circumstance you are left with two options. One option could be that you will carry your entire system to the authorized dealer, who will take at least four to five days to rectify the issue, and other option could be that you will try to fix it at your own.

Well, in my opinion the second option sounds wiser to go for, but you need to follow some proper guideline before initiating any fix. So, today we will guide you through this.

Open the command prompt first.

Type the following command: SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1

Now, open the Device manager. Now this can be done in two ways, either by simply typing Device manager on the search box, or by typing the command devmgmt.msc on the command prompt.

Once you are through with the device manager, gotoView – enable Show hidden devices.

Just right click on the inactive device you wish to remove and select Uninstall to remove the driver.

Perhaps, this must be the easiest way to fix this bug. And if you have any query regarding this please do let us know.

Here is some good lesson for those who ever doubted over the capabilities of Windows 7. According to WindowsTeamBlog, company has sold already sold over 240 million licenses, which was recorded in the month of Sep, 2010.

Let’s check out what company has to add over this:

“Today’s an exciting day! We are announcing that more than 240 million licenses of Windows 7 have been sold. Windows 7 is the fastest selling operating system in history. As of September, Windows 7 was running on 93% of new consumer PCs and has over 17% global OS market share (according to Net Applications as of October 1st). There is an amazing array of great PCs out on the market today. Six months after launch, 100% (over 18,000) of our OEM partners were selling Windows 7 PCs versus 70% for Windows Vista PCs at a comparable time period. And there is an incredible ecosystem of products – software and hardware – that work great with Windows 7 too”.

Perhaps, the downfall of Windows Vista has been overcome by Windows 7. Well, let’s hope that by next year Microsoft will show up with is recently announced Windows 8.
